note again. sixteen candles burn in her mind,
HI I'M aisling AND THIS IS ME:
name
"uh, okay. my name is aisling. it's like...suppose to be pronounced differently but i couldn't say it as a kid so i say "a" like the letter, "sss" like the snake "lyn." like..lyn. or like azy-ling."
why shes homeless
"My life isn't a sob story. You're not going to see a lifetime movie on it. My family and I had a pretty normal life and home until I was about..eight. That's when my dad was arrested for murder of 22 people and the rape of 13 women. We lived in a normal sized, nice house then after that we lived in the projects. My mom is really religious and when I was about thirteen or so I stopped believing in God and she kicked me out. Plus, she found out I was having sex and got my belly button done with out her permission."
house hopping
"I've house hopped for a while now. I've stayed with friends, aunts, family friends, boyfriends, girlfriends and kids from school who have big hearts. I appreciate but I never get too comfortable. I don't stay places very long."
streets
"I've stayed in the streets. I've slept in playgrounds, parks, next to trees, and stuff. Once, there was this car that I noticed was in an empty parking lot for two weeks and I slipped in through the open window and lived there for a month. I still go there a lot but sometimes the police roll around and I don't want to be in it when they get there to tow it. I've stayed in shelters and churches."
school
"I still go to school but I don't go as much as I should. I try to go as much as I possibly can. It's hard though. My teachers are pretty understanding about my situation."
shelters
"Shelters are scary. You're eating next to people who are tripping out or having some sort of mental disorder. It's kind of scary. Some of them are rapists and crazy. It's not fun. Shelters aren't fun."
family
"My grandma and grandpa on my dads side will come around sometimes. Around holidays they'll drop off presents. Randomly they'll give me the extra ten dollars they have or whatever. I visit my dad in prison sometimes. As much as I hate him because I know if he was sane, I'd be in a home; I love him. He always tells me to keep my head up and if he could get out of there he'd help me out. When his friends get out, a couple of them let me stay with them for a while."
lsd and partying
"What else am I suppose to do? I spend my nights partying. I picked up LSD soon enough. I was about fifteen when I started acid."
sex
"I'll have sex with people sometimes. I've done it before to make sure I had a place to stay that night. I don't do it often and only if i know the person."
con artist
"I'm a co artist. That's all we need to say."
contents in her purse and how she got them
- wallet. she stole it.
- ipad and the things that came with it. she got it from her grandma. she rarely uses it. when she first got it, she was kind of pissed. why would her grandma get her something she couldn't use? she charges it at school, public bathrooms, houses when she stays, etc. if she's at a place with wifi (house hopping or in a public location with free wifi) she'll update her social networking.
- socks. she stole them.
- hotel mini shampoo, conditioner in a zip lock bag. she got it from a motel and took a ton.
- fake id and credit card maker.
- several credit cards
she take the blame, it's always the same.
