" the cold river washed him away,
but how could we forget? the gatherings hold
candles, but not their tongues. and too much
blood has flown from the wrists, of the children
shamed for those they chose to kiss. who will
rise to stop the blood? make it stop, let this end.
this life chose me, I'm not lost in sin. but proud
I stand of who I am, I plan to go on living."

3 MEMORIES
» when his mom had her last child, he was five and it's the only one he could remember being born out of the four that came after him. he remembers smiling at the hospital and being so nervous that he threw up before he held her. that day he promised he'd never let anyone hurt her, it's hard to keep that promise on tour but he talks to her everyday.
» when his father would pack up and leave, pop back in just long enough to knock up his mom, get all screwed up on drugs, then leave again. these are constant memories that tony wishes he could forget, in fact he wishes he could erase his father from his memory all together.
» the day his abuelito passed away will always be one of the worst days of tony's life. his abuelito, mom's father, taught him to be the man he is today and when he passed away a piece of his heart went with him. tony was thirteen and lost the only father figure he ever had, and for that he also talks to his abuelita at least once a day.
2 IMPORTANT PEOPLE
» his mother, virginia flores; 56, is the number one person in his life, sure she made some shitty choices in life after his father kept leaving and popping back up but she raised ten kids pretty much on her own and for that tony will also look up to her.
» his abuelita, irma flores; 72, is his ultimate favorite person in the world. growing up, he was always closer to irma and her late husband tony than the rest of the children. they're the ones who brought him up and sparked his interest in music. if you look at any of his thank you's when it comes to his band's EPs or website. you'll always see abuelito & abuelita in tony's. he also has a recipe of his abuelita's cooking and some times if the guys are lucky enough he'll make some of her home made mexican dishes.
ONE SECRET
» tony is closeted homosexual, and literally fears coming out to his friends and family. in high school he saw some kid stand up for himself when being teased for being gay, then he saw the kid get jumped the same day. growing up on the south side in the ghetto really put an outlook in the mind that is tony flores. he hooks up with guys, just on the down low. he doesn't want the people in his life to think of him any differently.
she take the blame, it's always the same.
