it was really late when selena decided that her house was getting too tense. her parents didn't really talk to her and left her to do what she wanted. it was a little depressing. someone who caused so much pain could cause some more when he wasn't even around to smirk in amusement. selena slipped out of her pj shorts and a tank top and slipped on a loose ombre shirt, jeans, flats, green earrings, and sprayed on perfume and stepped infront of the mirror. she fixed her hair which was tied in a loose bun, extra strands poking out. Simply putting on some eyeliner she figured that would do for her middle of the night adventures.
after about twenty minutes of walking she found herself walking around the projects. being about 4'7 and as intimidating as tony's kitten, it probably wasn't the best thing she could be doing with her time but she hadn't really noticed until she was really far in. lighting a cigarette, she kept walking.

"get the fuck out of our house!" lip yelled, shoving the man he called his father as he stumbled around swearing. he hated when russell came home when gabby wasn't, it was hard to get the kids upstairs and away from the drama while him and danny worked on getting him out. "kids, come on guys get upstairs it's past your bedtimes. i'll be up in a minute." he spoke calmly towards them, while russell slid himself down a wall. he rolled his eyes at the man, smiling a reassuring smile at the kids as they rushed upstairs. "i want teeth brushed, dirty clothes in the hall, in pajamas and in bed before i get up there. dylan and patrick, that means you too!" he smirked a little at his brothers, turning his attention back to russell and danny who was trying to get him out but failed. "russell no body fucking wants you here!" he yelled, eyes darting to danny who quickly nodded and put the radio on and turning it up as he put on one of russell's old doo wop albums. lip heard the kids react, singing and dancing along even though they knew why the music was on.
although the music was calming in the clark house, as russell got up he gripped lip by his collar. danny tried to pull their father off of him, but russell just pushed him off and punched lip in his mouth demanding some respect in his home. lip was in pain, but felt the anger take over his body. he grabbed russell the same way he had grabbed him, shoving him into the wall hard before throwing blows to his face over and over. danny tried to pull him off, lip just kept going. once russell was near passing out, lip and danny dragged him out the backdoor. "and don't come back russell, i fucking mean it. haven't you fucked us up enough? i won't let you do the same to the others," he slammed the door, punching the wall beside it. lip ran upstairs after turning off the radio, going into the kid's rooms and telling them goodnight like he did every night. they asked what happened to his lip, he told them he slipped coming up the steps and not to worry. once he finished up, he went in his room and pulled out his hoodie and made his way back downstairs.
danny asked him where he was going, he shrugged. "just tell gabby i took russell out, i'll tell her about the fight later." danny was more quiet than usual, and lip sighed. "look, i get it. we all hate him, but sadly that's how it's gotta be dan. do you think i wanted to hit him? i mean yeah i did but deep down of course not. i wanted those fishing trips and baseball catches, and i know you did too. sadly, we got dealt these cards. and it sucks, but you know what? even though russell and victoria are fucking wastes of life, thanks to them we got each other. and gabby, and everyone else. the clark ship stands strong, without them. fuck them. we're better than them, and you know that. i love you, get to bed soon." he turned out of the house, shutting the door behind him.
lip lit up a cigarette as he walked along the familiar streets, listening to the faint sound of police sirens and cars honking. this was home, and he learned to accept that years ago. as he walked along, he saw some one and the height made him smirk since it was the giveaway of who it was. he walked up behind her, casually walking next to her and smiled. "what are you doing over the tracks hm?" he smirked a little, selena was too fucking cute.

There was a distant sound of an ambulance that slowly became louder and louder that turned the corner behind her. There were sounds of people walking and shouting. She bit her lip. This side didn't bother her so much as worry her. If she wasn't so damn defenseless she'd be just fine. Lip and her were going to hook up. She knew she saw him over in this area and in the back of her head, she was kind of hoping to run into him. But at nearly four am, she doubted she was going to be running into anything but trouble, but that'd kind of be the same thing.
When she heard the sounds of someone walk behind her, she didn't glance back but got a bit mentally paranoid. God, Selena thought I sound like Zelda.. It was a funny thought. She felt bad that the girl felt like this all the time.
"Oh, look who it is." Selena smirked, taking a drag from a cigarette and letting the smoke blow out in thick clouds of death. "Just talking a walk," She shrugged "And I guess I ended up here.". She really didn't know what street she was on. She felt a bit better with Lip near her though. "What are you doing out so late by yourself? Selena asked, though he could ask her the same thing. It was dangerous but she was fine.

his eyes traced over her, he couldn't help but smile. "oh yeah, just ended up in the projects, seems legit." he teased, speaking sarcastically making it seem like selena was just looking for lip. when she asked him what he was doing out by himself, he sighed shaking his head. he licked his lips a little, tasting the blood on his lip and he felt himself getting angry again but let it exhale along with the cigarette smoke. "needed to get the fuck out of my house, but it's nothing new i always go out for walks around this time. the only time i have to myself," he shrugged a little.

"What do you think I'm here for then?" Selena smirked "If I wanted to find you I'd know exactly where to look.". Selena took a drag, pulling at the ends of her shirt. Selena saw a little bit of blood on his lip and looked into her purse, pulling out one of those plastic packets that had tissue in it. Openin it and grabbing one, she offered it silently to lip. "Right," Selena shrugged.

lip smirked, sighing a little. "well you say you know where to find me, and that would be the projects," he smoked the last bit of his cigarette before flicking it away from him, exhaling the smoke as selena handed him the tissue. "well thanks?" he laughed a little, taking the tissue and dabbing his lip with it. after doing that for a good minute before crumpling up the tissue and shoving it in his pocket.

"If I wanted to see you, I'd go to your house," Selena shrugged. "You're welcome," Selena said, playing with her purple lighter. She just flicked it off and on as she walked before glancing "What happened?" She attempted conversation.
