a stripper, out of all the trashy jobs, stripper Gabby thought as she she put over jean short shorts and a shirt she took from her friend. She walked home. Walking through the projects made her nervous. By the time she was halfway there she took off the "stripper heels" she stole and started to half jog till she got the house. No one had said anything to her on her way home, but she freaked herself out. Getting to where they lived, she put them back on, catching her breath and standing outside for minute or two. Going inside, everything was quiet so she assumed the kids were sleeping. Flicking on the living room light, she sat down. She glanced up at the tv. They didn't have cable but it worked for movies for the kids. Locking the door, she flipped off her heels and walked over to a stack of bootlegged movies and grabbed Bridesmaids. She got about halfway through before she decided to see if Lip was up. She stood up and said "Lip?. Walking into the kitchen, she looked to see if their was coffee. There was about 1/4 left so she made herself up a cup. Sitting on the counter and sighing. This was not the lifestyle people wanted. Who had to worry if there was enough coffee to last them two months? The Clarks, that's who. Waiting to see if Lip was awake and come out, she wondered if he had any weed. Gabby wasn't really a weed person. She rarely smoked and only would when all the kids were taken care of, but, she sure as hell could use it right now.

lip sighed as he shook his head. "dylan and patrick!" he yelled just before the noise from the other room went silent, wiping his hands along his face before turning back to leighanne before looking over at lea with a wink. "don't worry about what happened tonight okay? danny and i took care of it. you just get some sleep, love you." he brought his lips to his sister's forehead before standing up, and turning his attention to the crib. "johnny my main man." he smirked, running his hand gently across his forehead. "love you little dude." he kissed the toddler's forehead, then looked over at lea. "night lea, love you." he turned out the light, walking out of the room bringing the door closed behind him. that was when he went into the bedroom that held dylan, patrick, and danny. "danny, what the fuck man can i get a little help? or are you gonna just sit there with your thumb in your ass." he spat out at his brother before looking at the twins who were giving him a guilty look. "time for bed, both of you." he shook his head. "love yous." he turned his attention back to danny, signaling him to meet him in the hall so they could talk but danny declined. "fuck you man, just because you don't have the balls to stand up to russell doesn't mean i'm not allowed to. this isn't his home anymore, you even said it. night, dickhead." that was when he heard gabby's voice and he smirked.

he walked by gabby's room, seeing that her door was open. the twins. he slid himself in, seeing what damage the boys did this time. lip frowned at the sight of his sister's underwear and bras all over the bed, he shook his head refusing to pick those up. he shut the door and went into his own room, he used to be in the room with danny; dylan and patrick but since russell found himself a "new home" which none of them even questioned lip called dibs on the bedroom. he sighed, grabbing his bowl and his bag of weed before heading downstairs. he walked into the kitchen, seeing gabby. "just got everyone down. i know it's late, but russell stopped by so times were a little delayed." he sighed, running a hand through his hair. "danny's got a fuckin' bug up his ass, oh the twins took out almost all of your bras and underwear. i'm not touching them though, no offense." he turned to the counter, breaking up the weed before putting it in his bowl and handing it to gabby along with his lighter. he always gave her first hit.

Gabby hated being a stripper. Everyone knew it and it was public information. She hated that her brother had to steal. She hated that her parents were fucking dead beats and couldn't help him. She did not sign up for this. Gabby needed a break sometimes. She knew Lip probably needed one too. She shouldn't just ignore the fact that she was holding some fucked up kids. Lip, she thought, would be okay though. He was just figuring things out. For a while, she was just wondering if she was fooling herself. "hey," gabby said softly when she heard lip come in.
Gabby's attention was instantly grabbed when she heard her fathers name. She looked dead at Lip and bit hers. "God damn it. Fuck," she sighed "So what happened? Is everyone okay? Are you okay?". Gabby started to panic. It wasn't rare that her father came over but everytime she instantly got into panic-mode. When she did, she asked a lot of questions. She hated when he father came around. More so when she wasn't around. Sighing, Gabby closed her eyes for a moment "Thanks for getting the kids down.". She glanced out the open window, cheap curtains flying in the wind, causing noise. "Wait so what happened with Danny? Oh great. I'll clean them up later." Gabby asked, confused. Lighting up, she took a hit, blowing the smoke into the air before handing it back to him. Hopping off the counter, she walked down the hall to her room, picking up a couple of the bras and then walking back to the kitchen. She glanced at Lip, shut the window and then poured herself some coffee into a green purple cup that said 'best big sister' in fingerpaint. One of the kids made it for her at school a couple years ago.

lip shrugged. "you know russell, he was bombed trying to get some money off of us. i told him to get out, he told me to fuck off and went to leighanne since you know, she's got that child like oh i can't hate my dad thing going on. anyway, he asked her to bring beer up to his room while he talked to me and she said isn't that lip's room now? he flipped out, danny tried getting him to leave he shoved danny so i stepped in between them. lea took the kids upstairs while i kicked the shit out of russell and told him to never come the fuck back in this house." he shrugged again, sighing as he went to the fridge and pulled out a beer. he twisted the cap off the bottle, taking a few chugs before taking the bowl back from gabby. "danny's just mad because-" he stopped to take a hit from the bowl, after inhaling and exhaling the smoke he sighed. "he doesn't have the balls to stand up to russell, i don't get it. like don't bitch about him and say how this isn't his home anymore but then fuckin' let him shove you around like you ain't shit. fuck that." he took another swig from his beer, grabbing an ashtray from the windowsill before pulling his cigarettes from his pocket. lip popped on in his mouth, and lit it before inhaling slowly.

Listening about Danny, she sighed and ran her hands through her hair. "I'm sorry about Russell. Is the kids and you okay?. She bit her lip and glanced around the room. Everything was quite. Which was rare. It was a rare, nice moment in this house for once in her life. She needed a bit of silence every once in a while. She looked around for a clock but there wasn't one in her eye sight. Taking the bowl, back from him, she inhaled and exhaled. If getting high would help her relax, then so be it. She just nodded in agreement about Danny. She didn't really know what else to say. Gabby handed the bowl to him, grabbed some cigarettes and walked to the living room, waving for him to follow. She sat on the couch, legs folded slightly under her and lit her cigarette. "Are you going to school tomorrow?" Gabby asked. She sat up a bit, concerned and asked "Are you going to be able to finish school?. She couldn't really force him. She had dropped out after all. Could she say really anything about his schooling if she hadn't finished hers? She considered getting her GED or going to school online but she really wasn't sure. "So anything new? She asked, taking a drag. She liked to know what was going on with him.

lip shook his head. "don't apologize for his bullshit. leighanne tried saying it was her fault, but i talked to her. we're fine." he nodded, following her into the living room with his beer; bowl and his cigarettes. he sat down on the love seat that sat diagonal from the couch, he sighed when she brought up school. "yeah i'm goin' i'm meeting this girl who's gonna give me the outline for the research paper so i can get that final paper out of the way." he inhaled the smoke off his cigarette, exhaling before taking another sip of his beer. "that way i can write the other papers that i'm getting paid for. i'll be making like three hundred bucks by the end of this quarter." he smiled with confidence and then smirked at her questioning if he were even going to finish. "of course i'm gonna finish. i'm a senior, i got this far. not to mention they can't even try to kick me out for skipping so much. because i do the work, and any bit of extra credit. i've had straight a's since middle school." he sighed, taking a drag form his cigarette and shaking his head. "nothing new at all. what about you?"

"That's good," Gabby smiled, running her hand through her hair. She noticed his sigh but ignored it. "Oh, that's good I guess." Gabby shrugged. She wished she was still in school. She missed it. Everyone constantly whined about it when they were in there but when they were basically forced out they missed it. Gabby could have said 'fuck this' and stayed in school but she cared abou her family too much."How many kids do you even write papers for? Gabby asked, curious. She never really knew how many. It didn't bother her that he could possibly get expelled for this. "True," Gabby agreed. She wasn't even sure what to discuss with him. "Nothing really. Everythings normal. Anything going on at school?" which was Gabby's indirect way of asking if he was dating or seeing anyone.

A lot of people seemed to think that Lip was some sort of bad child. Gabby didn't think so. It was probably cause she lived with him and saw him all the time. Honestly, Gabby thought he was too smart for his own good. She tried to mention one of the pretentious assholes in his position. Taking care of kids, getting some sort of money, etc. Sometimes the ways that he did things weren't always the best but at least he was trying for himself and the kids, right? At least, that's how Gabby took it. Even if it wasn't true, she liked being delusional then. It was easier then at least.

lip took the last two drags from his cigarette before putting it out in the ashtray, taking another sip of his beer before letting out the answer to his sister's question. "it depends, it depends on what stupid assholes they put in what classes. this quarter i've written like ten papers, but right now i have three to right. one hundred for an english paper, one hundred for a music theory paper, and one hundred and fifty for a physics chem paper. the extra fifty is because this kid is a fucking idiot and if he fails he'll lose his wrestling scholarship and i've been writing his papers for him since the eighth grade." lip chugged the rest of his beer down, setting the empty bottle on the coffee table before popping another cigarette between his lips and lighting it. he chuckled a bit when she pretty much asked him the same question again, but he knew it had a different meaning. "i'm not dating anyone gabs. i don't date, you know this." he smirked, exhaling smoke slowly through his nostrils.

"Right, right" gabby nodded a bit, listening. "I need to check how the twins are doing in school. Same with Danny. When I went in for parent conferences for the twins, I don't think I've ever gotten a dirtier look in my entire life. They all wanted to kill me." Gabby shook her head. The kids were a complete mess. She wasn't too sure how Danny did in school. "How does Danny do? In school, I mean. If you know." Gabby was sure he did know. "You just fuck." Gabby stated

lip smirked, shrugging his shoulders. "gabs it doesn't matter what the fuck you do with those boys, they're the fucking spawn of satan. besides, the teacher knows our situation, any of those snobby fucking teacher ass kisses can get fucked. nobody fucks with the clarks." he shook his head, he had such a foul mouth but never cared. it was something he always had, he wasn't as bad as the twins were but he was pretty close. when she asked about danny he nodded, inhaling the last deep drag on his cigarette before putting it out in the ashtray. "danny," he exhaled. "danny's a good student, he's got me doing half of his school work." he laughed a little, ending it with a sigh. "no i barely do his homework, i help him with his math since he fucking sucks at it but he's doin' good." he scratched the back of his neck, laughing a bit as gabby made a comment about lip's relationships. "the only thing i've inherited from russell." he winked, guzzling down the rest of his beer before laying back against the cushion.
